I am an English translator for Peace SOS. I call myself a bridge builder. I was born and raised in London. My parents came to the UK from India in the 1950s in the hope of a better life. Today one would probably call them economic migrants. Thanks to my path in life, I think I have a good idea of what it must be like to be considered an outsider, not to have access to the most fundamental basic services. That feeling of ‘us and them, mine and thine’. Do not these feelings carry the germs of war? I hope I can play a part in spreading SOS’s message of peace as widely as possible so that we can grow this movement into an idea whose time has come.
